INCHIES 2.0

Good Morning!

over at

I am featuring more of the
INCHIES AND TWINCHIES
BUT....

IT'S 2.0!!!

Ooohhhh and ahhas to commence

So using the refills in my original made me happy but adding those refill pages in a unique and fun way is what made this fun!

I used 3 yards of my favorite seam binding in {peacock} color.

Punched equal holes on each front and back piece. Strung the peace leaving it very loose, then glued the strung pages to front and back and then tightened up my laces .

I hope you try this as it is really a great way to pop that album right into the unique style that is specifically you")

Inchies & Twinchies
Now as you know I try to give little tid bits everywhere and today is no exception.

using glassy accents I lifted the images provided by
Another fun item is the acetate sheet has (door stoppers in the form of large bling rhinestones. I love when something I have bought over the years has finally found it's home.

There ya go folks..Oh and by the way...I have found when making butterfly antennae..using Makins Clay for them keeps them flexible and unbreakable!!

Aquatic Pools

Don't you just love when something totally unexpected happens and it turns out to be a
HAPPY ACCIDENT!!!

ME TOO!

So when I received my

extruder I was kinda intimidated..it was so light and compact and even though I have long since had experience with the Factory, ala Play Doh....all my snakes came out barbed "( I thought ut oh! This could be bad.

BUT NO!
(sorry I shout a lot)

So easy and So Perfect, in fact all of my necklace here is made from scraps from 2 other projects...HOW exciting is that?

Aquatic Pools
This lovely pendent was made by taking extruded/stacked canes and putting them together, rolling them through the Ultimate Clay Machine stage #1 and wrapped with extruded linguini :) Then fill the disc with Glossy accents. Adhere these together with a good jewelry glue, I use super glue gel. The lovely flat black chain is courtesy of Blue Moon Beads.

ENJOY!

Mother Nature in Clay

Today is all about the Clay

Mother Nature

This piece was done with the bird enthusiast in mind")

I have to say this was so much fun and easy to make!

The key to this piece is using a set of rulers on each side of your slab of clay while rolling it out. This insures even consistency. Also be sure to leave all the little knick and gouges from rolling and such, as later when distressing it gives a further vintage feel.
When stamping your clay...Using a clear stamp block will allow you to arrange your stamps to your piece of clay so you get a better turn out of your vision.
You will need a hard canvas 5x7
acrylic paint/sandpaper
distress ink pad (vintage photo ranger) was used here.
Makins clay white 120g pkg
stamps of choice
sticks and bobbles for decoration and of course staz on or archival stamping ink.

I would like to remind customers, Makins clay should be purchased from the venders specified on the Makins site as other stuff on the web may be out of date stock and you run the risk of not getting the wonderful results you deserve.
Thank you for visiting today and I hope you feel inspired!

Now if you trot on over to Joanns you will find these amazing and fun little 4x4 mini albums!!!

Today I used two of them to get prepared for the newest additions to our family.

These 2 ring binders are great for putting anywhere from 10-30 pages and the little packets of inserts come pre-sectioned for easier scrapping.
Below you will find a list of page titles and a extra how-to for special pages for you to use and share.

Now for the TITLES

Baby Name

Birth/Weight/Height/LBS./ OZ.

Sloppy Kisser
Baby Crossing
The special envelope titled on each side
What my Mom/Dad wants me to know when I grow up!
This is for the parents to write a special note to the baby on the first day of their life.

Lovin some clay time!!!

Boredom in my casa is unacceptable!!!

What's a girl to do???
Hit pinterest/You Tube...something,  anything to inspire and get the funk washed outta my brain!

Soooo imagine my pure glee when I found this amazing lil gal and what she inspired me to do.

Love her")

In the "naked closet" I found an old still packaged Ek success tin from a bagazillion years ago.

Adding paper and knobs/bling we have a 4" dish ! A compote really ")

Within the dish I added made with my own two little hands some polymer clay fishes...I have to admit that some fish did not survive the transport to their new diggs "( They are only about 3/4" big !

These little fellers were snuggled in amongst the dirt ,rocks and general junk.
Resin, when the right kind is bought is safe and "unsmelly" Vital to my survival!
I used Castin Craft from Michael's Worked great!
This picture doesn't do justice to how sweet this little guy is") Turns out that filming water is tough !
I have said this before and I will repeat forever, When you get an inspiration...share from whom! We are all in this crafty world together.
Have Fun and Enjoy!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

It is all about the heart this week over at

ARTISTIC ADVENTURES
Challenges!
I have also entered these fine challenges,

Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog

The Shabby Tea Room

And to help celebrate that I have made a fun and fancy valentine sucker holder out of our fabulous tassies and hearts

Tassies  can be round, triangular, square, hearty ")  the only sure thing in shape is that all that gets to  become a cone of some sort!! FUN! I attached two of our tassie's  cut outs,  cutting just 1 section of a heart off to make the back of my basket wider than the front. I punched my support holes and placed eyelets, strung with seambinding in "red". Next was my lovely little hearts on a string (twine). These little hearts were so much fun to fussie cut and I loved being able to use some of my DCWV stash in hearty bling.

Come be hearty with us ")

Birds Eye Blue

 Birds EYE Blue Welcomes You!

Over at Gecko Galz along with
this week we are featuring our Steampunk Stamp set.
My example, which is 14" tall and too big for the light box ") is made from many little treasures that I have shopped out of my naked closet") Yes... all items to be altered and or used to be altered live in a "naked closet" because they simply aren't decent enough to be seen "P
Too Hoakie ??? LOL
I took 2 of the stamps out of the set and highlighted them with my copics . Fussy cutting is tough but therapeutic for me , quick tip: Use your 1/16" and 1/8" hole punch on those little curves before you cut..it will take a lot of the frustration away. This set includes 25 stamps for 6.00! Wow!
Thanks to Tim I have tons of leftover insert configurations boxes that roll perfect with a dowel and mini bodice as the body. The hand are artparts found here . Gotta love a good collection of stuff. The radio tubes are recovered from the ebay locker as my originals ended up in the hands of pillaging greeds "( .
All that said I think she is wispy with her feathers and industrial with her gears ")
Have A Great Steam Punk Day!

Now make sure to leave a comment so that I can enter you in my 50.00
