Breast Cancer Awareness

I shared this on October 12th 2010. Just wanted to do a throw back in support of breast cancer awareness. So many women including my sister are battling this devastating disease. I received second place and donated the bra to a auction raised $272.00 for the cause.
Save the Ta's Ta's sponsored by Curves of Savannah.Yeah I was so excited to be able to make this to help raise awareness. Breast Cancer is one of the leading killers of women and men alike in America. I literally took weeks trying to figure out what i was gonna do to a bra.....There are so many "suggestive" options ;) Then it hit me..I am currently in my (blue) art phase so therefore it must be something blue and colorful, what better than the ocean. I made all the anemones , star fish , barnacles, clams, seaweed my self by either sewing something weird or cutting cardboard and covering it with stickles. Oh and the net ..I made the net like a little macrame project then coffee dyed it. Not to shabby if I say so myself.

INCHIES 2.0

Good Morning!

over at

I am featuring more of the
INCHIES AND TWINCHIES
BUT....

IT'S 2.0!!!

Ooohhhh and ahhas to commence

So using the refills in my original made me happy but adding those refill pages in a unique and fun way is what made this fun!

I used 3 yards of my favorite seam binding in {peacock} color.

Punched equal holes on each front and back piece. Strung the peace leaving it very loose, then glued the strung pages to front and back and then tightened up my laces .

I hope you try this as it is really a great way to pop that album right into the unique style that is specifically you")

Aquatic Pools

Don't you just love when something totally unexpected happens and it turns out to be a
HAPPY ACCIDENT!!!

ME TOO!

So when I received my

extruder I was kinda intimidated..it was so light and compact and even though I have long since had experience with the Factory, ala Play Doh....all my snakes came out barbed "( I thought ut oh! This could be bad.

BUT NO!
(sorry I shout a lot)

So easy and So Perfect, in fact all of my necklace here is made from scraps from 2 other projects...HOW exciting is that?

Aquatic Pools
This lovely pendent was made by taking extruded/stacked canes and putting them together, rolling them through the Ultimate Clay Machine stage #1 and wrapped with extruded linguini :) Then fill the disc with Glossy accents. Adhere these together with a good jewelry glue, I use super glue gel. The lovely flat black chain is courtesy of Blue Moon Beads.

ENJOY!

Mother Nature in Clay

Today is all about the Clay

Mother Nature

This piece was done with the bird enthusiast in mind")

I have to say this was so much fun and easy to make!

The key to this piece is using a set of rulers on each side of your slab of clay while rolling it out. This insures even consistency. Also be sure to leave all the little knick and gouges from rolling and such, as later when distressing it gives a further vintage feel.
When stamping your clay...Using a clear stamp block will allow you to arrange your stamps to your piece of clay so you get a better turn out of your vision.
You will need a hard canvas 5x7
acrylic paint/sandpaper
distress ink pad (vintage photo ranger) was used here.
Makins clay white 120g pkg
stamps of choice
sticks and bobbles for decoration and of course staz on or archival stamping ink.

I would like to remind customers, Makins clay should be purchased from the venders specified on the Makins site as other stuff on the web may be out of date stock and you run the risk of not getting the wonderful results you deserve.
Thank you for visiting today and I hope you feel inspired!
