Back to school theme LTC Challenges

Here is my example this week for over at Love to Create. We are being sponsored by Bugaboo images "love you guys" . I have also cut out the chalk board area and added DCWV new chalkboard  paper...it works great for this and you can personalize any way you want:)  The pen I used was one of my old school chalk pens and it does erase with water and I could write something different! AWESOME!

DCWV Autumn Melody LO challenges and more

Today is all about the stack titled Autumn Melody....This stack is truly perfect for all our fall needs . First I have a card i made with the Autumn Melody epoxy stickers set. Then I used some May Arts twine ribbon, Blumenthal Lansing buttons and it is all held sturdily together with Skor tape..whooo hooo!

Somedays you just gotta have friends and today I made these little guys with our Bewitched stack over at DCWV. I literally crumpled the paper over and over and sewed into pillow pumpkins...add some popscicle fence and wire and your off to the patch....

Gooooood Monday Morning..I know I know I have said it before and I am gonna say it again (insert my best southern accent) It is time for another challenge over at the Love to create Blog...whooooo hooooo Yip Yippee! So today I have a little sweetie from Tiddly Inks. She was made with the pencils I showed you'all how to do a couple years ago..(scuffles through the library ) I will add that to today's post as well. Hope you feel inspired and have a great week! Okay to make the toothpick pencils: cut off 1 end of toothpick color middle with copic marker #Y26 the eraser end with copic # E04 and the tip with # W8....The silver strip is stain glass tape cut down the middle with scissors and wrapped around..whaa laa PENCILS in miniature!

Good Morning one and all!..This week over at Love to Create Challenges is all about the stars and stripes. The 4th of July always makes me think of my husband (retired US soldier) and all the people of our country who actually contributed to our freedom in a positive way. Then the food, picnics,parades and above it all , like icing on a cupcake ...."fireworks" Happy Birthday to us all!

Crafty and Green Guest Designer!

I am so SUPER EXCITED!!! Today I am featured over at Crafty and Green as a guest designer. Whooo Hoo, Tina features so many neat and nifty project so that you can reuse and recycle just about anything. Today I have a project that my Grandma showed me years ago...what to do with a old cracked desert dish and the left over cotton from pill bottles.....Now you could just throw your pins in the dish, which is what I said to my Gran when she talked about doing this...I was 9 .   She then responded with a Oh no! ..if you do that then the needles will stick your fingers..she then showed me how to do this...I wish -wish-wish I had the first pin cushion she showed me with. It has long since been lost "military move # 1 million and 12th or something like that. But the bottom line is this....She showed me how and I remember the smell of the fabric in her room as I made this. Annabelle made quilts ....many many quilts and she even went to the local pioneer village when they had events and demonstrated her skills. Such a lovely talented woman  as she also played the piano and organ from the age of 26- 81 at her church when they literally pulled her kicking and screaming from  her organ bench on the choir podium. Eventually it was decided to just move the organ to her house as a "retirement gift"  and they bought new...True story. It doesn't get much better than that!

 Today Over at Love to Create Challenges it's anything goes...I created this box topper with a Mo Manning Image..she is a wee little baby fairy smelling the daisies....Her little wings are doubled with acetate and I made the flowers out of blanks and copics, add some stickles and there ya go! I hope you enjoy her and have a Great week")

Good Monday morning! Today I have two cards I made for our challenge.The top card is a Digital Darla and the lower one is Robyns Fetishes...I got confused which one I was supposed to create with so I made both and my lovely ones published both.  Please come join us? We love seeing everyone and all levels and you have to start some where right? No better place than with us..The prizes are great !

Good Thursday Morning! Today I decided to share a little something here on the blog other than my cards...About time huh? So I am certain you have all seen the little stamps done on kraft paper and thinking wow is that copics? No, Nope it's not. It is one of two different kinds of pigment.  Oil pastels "crayons" Or pastel chalk pencils (as shown) . Both need a little blending stick and both will POP off your colored paper...Try this on Gray/blue and pink looks fabulous But black with a tiger or peacock rocks the house :)

Friday Craft Club

Last Friday was craft club night hosted by Regina Cady. Regina supplied us with 12x12 canvas's and let us have at um. We had lots of laughs, some cries, great eats, and most of all , we were collectively  creative. This is what I made mine into.
