( UPDATE) Graphics from Dover " Valentines Keeper"

(UPDATE) : Project 1 of 50 for the New Years resolution! Do you remember in grade school when you made big ole construction paper valentines holders? Some times like this or maybe an old milk carton or oatmeal container was used. Either way, I remember decorating it for little valentine cards. Do the children even do this anymore? Or has this become Politically incorrect somehow as well? I hope not because, It was about love...and being kind. Even to the people you may not have appreciated, aka "Bobby the nervous booger eater" for me UGH!

Today I was setting around relaxin and realized I haven't looked at my clip art books in a while...I love graphics and if you like G45 paper so do you..or the Graphic Fairy on and on....Anyway I started pulling things off the handy disc in the back of the book (Dover) and copic-ed away! I am going to show you this one in stages so that maybe you will or can do the same. Hope this gives you inspiration.

I bought the BIG table whoo freakin whoooooooo! This is gonna be a interesting holiday if the beginning of the month is any proof of the karma of things. Hope you all have had a great week.

Crop Night Impromtu

Yesterday was my good friend Jackies in-house crop/yard sale. It was awesome! I knew I was gonna make tag ornaments and had prepared to share (Graphic Fairy) for the vintage birds , but didn't think when I started on the example that it would turn out like it did..I am so happy everyone liked it and had fun! We learned that puff paint is sold in the decorator fabric area disguised as none other than ( puff paint). I shared the way to make your own crackle glass (hoping everyone uses common sense and uses safety goggle and towels incase you do explode the glass)....And we learned that no matter what....Never use heat guns on feathers (stinky) cause its burning chicken-hair. EWW. Love you all and so glad to hear so much laughter in one room!

Button Farm Kit PLUS add on's

Here ya go ladies... We went to ckc and i believe we all purchased this kit..I said I would show my end result because as per usual I( I am never satisfied with what i am given) So I changed some things up. So hope you get some inspiration.

The third little snow kids I want to say Hambo but it was missing it's package :) All of these images were colored by me with Copics and then made into card /bookmark fronts.

Hambo Happiness!

Good Morning to ya'all.....it's just a couple cards made with Hambo stamps and my handy dandy copics.....The cobwebbed gauzy action on my witch makes me happy about spiders...Okay not really. I am a little rusty on writing the cheesy stuff and my coffee has only had it's first sips consumed . And now that I look at Nana boy I think how he would make a really awesome valentine! He also doubles as a paper pad holder.

Cameo Tag

Today I wanted to show you this tag I made. I used jewelry finding for embellishments /seam binding as the ribbon (all jacked up) and if you will notice, it has layered tags atop of each other.

More Shrinky happiness!

Here is a phone charm that I assembled on a play date with my friends Susan and Missy. We stamped on shrinky dinks and wired/beaded and wrapped! FUN!

Disaster has happened !

One day you are merrily going along thinking of all your projects and what you can actually accomplish then "CRASH"!!! Oh noooo!...." Where " is the first question.....upstairs? Okayyy (climbs stairs cautiously) Studio looks like tornado but chick made "Shew".....Then you turn the corner with one eye shut and the other peeking to the shopping room and you see it. UGH! One of my storage systems has collapsed! Holy Shitaki Mushrooms Girls! There are run away punches and naked stuff all over the joint!..So today even though I had things that were fun planned......I simply must go to the Market and clean up the stock that has fallen from my shelves. Anyone have a good (not broken) storage shelf for sale?

Copics and Kraftin Kimmie

These are some of the cards that I have colored with copics using the Kraftin Kimmie stamps...I told a little birdie I would show examples so that she may see what all can be done, I would also like to throw out into blogger world that if you take copic classes..do yourself a favor and be sure that your instructor is certified, You can find this out by going to the copic website and looking on the map that is nearest you..if their name doesn't show..they aren't certified and you run risk of being misinformed. That is never good for anyone and copics are a investment you don't want to be mislead on. I have also found that the Strathmore Bristol "smooth" paper works great with copics. Bristol papers come in ply's instead of weights like watercolor paper, which I don't recommend. But keep it simple! You can find this at Micheal's and with a coupon it's just happy money. Also remember when using copics more is better to blend, always start with lightest as base, then if you miss something it can be easily blended. If you end up with unwanted lines...blend all out with base light and let dry thoroughly before reapplying. Hope these few tips help and feel free to contact me if you have questions. Stampscapes Introduction

WELCOME ONE AND ALL!!!! I was recently introduced to a set of stamps that literally knocked my socks off! Ugh and Egads! They are beautiful sets of landscapes that literally can be shifted and manipulated to being day or night scenes and if ya get real fancy you can even (by color) define regions of the country you are imagining. I love these stamps and for my first shot at them on my own ..I am pretty awed by the results. A big ole hug and very special thanks to Missy for sharing her stamps and for being my  personal instructor, She teaches these classes and if you are interested please go to her blog and shout out at her..I mean give her a buzz...UGH :never was hip: ! Just contact her.  http:Oncetreasured.blogspot.com/

ATC challenge "Sketch" live or memorex?

As you all know we have a ATC's swap at the local B&N here in Charleston hosted by our one and only Melissa Dobry (please contact her to join { lhakabw@aol.com} we would love to have you)! And this months coming theme is sketch! Everyone groaned .....fear of drawing which i think is funny cause this is a ATC swap..A for artist , T for trading , C for card swap! tee hee okay enough of the smart mouthing and on with the show....here is my preview peek if you will....
I will repost the finished product after the swap!

Look what a 4 year old can do?

Okay...when I was little I could do some stuff....color and paste, nowadays these little humans are insane smart! Jess and Sydney came and visited me a few weekends ago and we had a great time..Syd actually said, come on Gramma lets go upstairs and do "crafting".  I was so excited and proud. She looked around and picked out her fancy and knew exactly what she wanted to learn, she said lets make flowers. How did she know these were made? So I taught her "once" how to punch and bend with the tool and Whaa La she had it no assistance required....Then she seen the fuzzy cards I made in Deb Thomson's class they were the Christmas themed sticker kits and she assumed they were stamped and since I taught her to stamp last fall, she is a stamping fool. So she pick out the little doggie stamp.....Now I helped her with the shading of the doggie but she needed no help with the glue or the flower soft fuzz....SO Freakin Smart! I feel so blessed .

Craft Club Happiness

Susan Pratt happiness! Susan was our host for the month of June and served Tomato pie along with several other things. I mention the pie because being a Yankee I had never had it "delicious"!

Jackie , in her "pure genius" manner allowed swimmers and eaters alike to over run her home.....She and Cindy hosted a great party along with Hamburgers on the grill and CHEESECAKE! Yes ..There I said it! And..I ate it! Yummo! Thank you ladies the day was truly nothing but relaxed fun.

As many of you know we have a craft club and some day soon I hope to further this by starting a "Art" club....that's craft club on steroids :) You have all seen my Clabber Girl ( May post) that we created when it was my turn to host and now I want to show you some of the amazing things the other ladies came up with for us to create. Susan provided us with bare wood frames and then helped us to create flowers out of screening and burlap/cork and other misc. things around the house to decorate them with. We had to pre-paint/texture the frames before we came and make flowers to match. LOVED this challenge! and turned out pretty neat. Then Jackie the following month helped us to climb back into the world of shrinky dinks. Remember these as a kid, how much fun they were? Well, to further my beliefs that crafters are really just kids, Jackie gussied them all up and helped us make them into home made charms then furthered it by showing us how to make our own bracelets /necklaces/ phone jewelry...AWSOMEEEEENESSS to be had by all! Thank you ladies I look forward to this time every month and love having the privilege of your shared creative mind.
